IT’S A WHITE CHRISTMAS!
It’s been years since the last time this happened. And in honor of this unusual event,
I’ve posted my favorite picture of all time.
IT WAS TAKEN BY MY FRIEND, DAVID BROWN.
We both lived on the Jersey shore in funky Victorian houses, up on top of a hill with a view of the harbor below.
DAVID’S
and his wife Michele’s
WAS BRIGHT PINK AND PURPLE.
Mine was boring by comparison, painted in shades of
gray, light blue and cream.
THIS IS A SHOT OF THEIR BEAUTIFUL GATE. It separated their home from a huge stone stairway. I love the stark contrast of the black cast iron against the white snow.
We both have long since moved away, but that photo still sits on my desk here in upstate NY.
Unfortunately, a hurricane as I recall, sadly
broke it into 2 pieces, and it is no more,
ONLY LIVING ON IN THIS LOVELY PHOTO.
I’ve included my song “Snow” too.
Just click on the WYUM link to listen. Maybe sit back, relax, and allow yourself a few moments to settle into the serene stillness of this day.
HAPPY, HAPPY, MERRY, MERRY, LOVE AND DELICIOUSNESS TO YOU ALL!
